Abstract
Introduces the theory and concepts behind Machine Learning, explaining what Machine Learning is, what Machine Learning isn’t, the historical roots of machine learning, where machine learning fits with such things as artificial intelligence, data mining and data analytics, how machine learning functions and machine learning’s applicable use cases. Attendees will learn many of the core concepts behind machine learning as well as the various algorithm types used. Finally attendees will be walked through a real world scenario of building and operationalizing a predictive analytics model with Azure Machine Learning. At the end of this session, attendees will understand fundamental machine learning terminology, how to build, train and use a predictive analytics model and the key concepts around the various components used within predictive machine learning models. I am a Director at Fusion Alliance and the Solution Director of Cloud Services. In addition, I am a Microsoft MVP for Data Platform. As an active member in the Columbus IT community, I founded the Columbus Azure ML and Power BI User Group (CAMLPUG) and have presented at many different conferences and events including Dog Food, SharePoint Saturday, CloudDevelop and M3.

This varied experience provides me with a solid understanding of business principles including marketing, operations, finance and human relations and I have served more than one hundred (100) clients nationally, in a variety of industries including Manufacturing, Finance, Insurance, Government, Education, Health Care, Retail, Research, Media, Entertainment and Travel.
 
I am a proven entrepreneur and innovator with deep expertise in growing consulting service offices and practices.  Was able to grow my own business 400% in 4 years, founded the Blue Chip Consulting Group’s Columbus office and grew that office from nothing to over $1 million in revenue in 4 years and am now focused on achieving similar results at Fusion Alliance within Cloud Services.

    This meeting looks interesting. I work at Nationwide and I think Nationwide has a corporate membership to Buckeye DAMA, is that correct? If that is correct I do not have to pay for the event myself through the website correct? Also, is there somewhere I can get the details for where/what time this meeting will be held? The article below gives the date but no other details and I cannot find any other details on the website either. Sorry, I may be looking in the wrong place.
