Dr. Barry Devlin,
Let the sun shine through! The cloud in data warehousing skies is finally clearing as Dr. Barry Devlin builds the architectural and systems foundations for data lakehouse, data fabric, and data mesh, as well as the base cloud data warehouse. In the past five years, there has been an explosion of innovation and new technical forms as cloud data warehousing has gone mainstream, but confusion has grown too.
Dr. Barry Devlin—a founder of the entire data warehousing industry—offers answers to many pertinent questions. Drawing lessons from the long history of data warehousing, he defines an all-embracing architecture for these modern approaches, demonstrating that the conceptual and logical architectures change only minimally as we move from on-premises to the cloud.
Barry provides a framework of architectural design patterns (ADPs) that describe the base cloud data warehouse as well as data lakehouse, fabric, and mesh. This framework allows implementers to compare and contrast these different solutions, evaluate their pros and cons according to a common model, and choose an approach best suited to their business needs and technical starting points.
12:00-1:00 pm: Presentation and In-Person Lunch sponsored by erwin/Quest

We look forward to seeing you on November 14, 2024, for a day of insightful presentations, valuable networking, and professional growth. This event is an excellent opportunity to learn from industry leaders, connect with peers, and stay ahead in the ever-evolving field of data management.
