Topic 1: DANA - Data & Analytics Navigation Assistant

DANA is a purpose-built chatbot designed to help physicians quickly locate information across the enterprise domain. It searches the local knowledge base to answer questions and notify if query falls outside its current scope.

Featured Speaker: Preethi Raghuraman, Data Science Consultant at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. As the lead data scientist of the Applied AI team, leads the Applied AI team in developing intelligent solutions for healthcare.  Her work as lead data scientist spans machine learning, predictive analytics, and generative AI, with a focus on building conversational agents that empower clinicians and business leaders to turn insights into action.

Preethi brings a unique blend of technical depth, business expertise, and strategic vision, holding both a Bachelor’s in Computer Science & Engineering, a Master’s in Business Administration, and a Six Sigma Green Belt.  Her talk will offer a behind-the-scenes look at how DANA was built and what’s next for AI in healthcare.

Topic 2: Town Hall

We are incredibly excited about this next chapter and want to share the details with you. Please join us for a special Town Hall to discuss this new direction.

For years, our chapter has been the heart of Ohio's data management community, built entirely on the passion and countless hours of dedicated volunteer leaders. It is because of this incredible foundation that we have an opportunity to grow and serve you even better.

Why Now?

With the data management field growing in complexity and importance, the time is right to evolve our chapter to meet the expanding needs of our members and the community. To ensure we can meet these opportunities head-on and build a more sustainable, impactful organization for our members, we are thrilled to announce a strategic evolution of our chapter's structure.

What's Changing in 2026?

We are moving from a "working board" to a "strategic board" model.

  • A More Strategic Board: Our volunteer Board of Directors, currently with 6 active members, will be expanded to 15 from all corners of Ohio. The board will now focus its energy on what matters most: setting the long-term vision for the chapter, ensuring its financial health, and providing strong governance. This allows our leaders to think bigger and plan further into the future.

  • Professional Day-to-Day Management: To empower the board to focus on strategy, we are in the process of engaging professional management to handle the chapter's daily operations. This will ensure our events, communications, and member services are delivered with the consistency and excellence you deserve.

What This Means For You

This professionalized model is designed to deliver more value directly to you:

  • More Consistent Programming: A more robust and reliable schedule of educational events and webinars.

  • Expanded Opportunities: The ability to develop new programs, such as regular certification study groups and expanded networking events.

  • Improved Services: More responsive communication and streamlined member services.

New, More Meaningful Ways to Get Involved

This new structure opens up more focused and high-impact ways for you to share your expertise without the burden of administrative logistics. We will be looking for passionate members to contribute their skills to advisory committees in areas like:

  • Education Program and Speaker Selection

  • Membership Growth and Outreach

  • Sponsorship and Community Partnerships
